favorite recipes

I have some new recipes for you from February! Apparently, I tried a lot despite this being the shortest month of the year; I even found a lot of keepers. As usual, the images belong to the original food blogger as noted beneath each image.

Simply Scratch: Roasted Broccoli + Cauliflower Soup {with Bacon and White Cheddar}
I made this one in 2014 and forgot about it. I randomly remembered it and made it again. It's still really good.

Host the Toast: Southwestern Chicken and Sweet Potato Skillet
As per usual, I'm sneaking sweet potatoes on to Aaron's dinner plate. He noticed them and didn't even mind them either. This is a perfect meal to prepare ahead and heat up just before dinner - my favorite kind of recipe!

Simply Scratch: B.L.A.T. Salad We eat BLTs once a week in the summer when our garden is pumping out tomatoes, so I need to remember this one for next summer. (But I made it on Valentine's Day with lame grocery store…

tractor laundry

The tractors go in and out of this laundry basket regularly.

clapping at another playground

On Saturday afternoon, we brought our scooters to our third park of the day.

We played on the slide!

I clapped. (It's one of my favorite things to do these days.)

Then we climbed rocks (and clapped about it).

climbing the slide

I love this little slide climber.

playground ladder

Our second stop was at the playground of another elementary school in the district.

While everyone climbed these cylinder ladders, I had some fun with the camera.

playground Saturday

We spent the spring-like Saturday outside, visiting three parks/playgrounds throughout the day. Our first stop was to the playground by the library.

I love the Jesus Storybook Bible. Sometimes I ask Lydia to read it to me.

eye check

It's that time of year when I get my eyes examined and order new contacts, so Heidi came with me for my appointment. While we waited, we checked out the store section.

Free Breakfast Thursday UPDATE

I just thought I'd make you aware that Free Breakfast Thursday at Chick-fil-A is not only limited to Royersford and Saratoga Springs. Lansdale and Quakertown are participating as well!

photo albums

Our family photo albums are some of Jesse's favorite things, and this page is one of his favorites.

kitchen stool

The kitchen stool has been a favorite spot to sit/stand/play for each of my kids. Currently, Anna and Jesse squabble over its use most frequently, but yesterday, they managed to use it together peacefully for a few moments.

I love to roll off the couch. I think it's hilarious. I'm even working on my backflip.

My sisters think I'm hilarious, too (as evidenced in this video).

snowy morning

The snow yesterday morning was so pretty.

Here comes the school bus!

(Props to Aaron for shoveling the driveway for us.)
